Vehicle Technician

Our client, a reputable franchise-approved car dealer in Treforest, is seeking a skilled and experienced Vehicle Technician to join their busy Service Department. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified professional aiming to advance their career within a well-established dealership group.

Duties of a Vehicle Technician:

• Conduct fault diagnosis and large engine work, alongside completing routine servicing and repairs as a Vehicle Technician
• Ensure accurate reporting of vehicle condition, safety, reliability, and performance issues
• Maintain compliance with quality standards, health and safety procedures, and manufacturer guidelines
• Assist in diagnosing complex vehicle faults and supporting the workshop team
• Work towards team targets whilst producing high-quality workmanship within a busy environment
• Vehicle Technician adhere to all health & safety regulations and manufacturer procedures
• Further develop diagnostic skills; ideally hold a Diagnostic or Master Technician qualification
• Maintain a current UK driving licence and an active MOT licence is highly advantageous

Requirements of a Vehicle Technician:

• Qualified to IMI/NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair
• At least 3+ years of practical post-qualification experience
• Strong diagnostic skills, with a preference for those qualified to Master Technician level
• Ability to work efficiently within a team and meet individual and team targets
• Committed, motivated, and capable of producing work of consistently high quality
• Residing within a reasonable commuting distance of Pontypridd
