About the Role This is a long-term opportunity on a major construction project in Scotland. We are looking for an experienced, reliable Roller Operator looking for consistent, well-paid work over an extended programme. The project offers excellent earning potential with a structured rotation pattern.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

  • Operating a ride-on roller to compact subbase, capping layers and finished surfaces to specification
  • Working closely with the groundworks and civils team to ensure layers are compacted to the required standard
  • Carrying out pre-use checks and ensuring the roller is maintained in a safe and operational condition
  • Following site traffic management plans and operating within designated exclusion zones
  • Liaising with the site engineer and foreman regarding compaction requirements and testing
  • Supporting general groundworks operations as required between rolling activities

Requirements

  • Valid CPCS (A31) or NPORS card for Roller — essential
  • CSCS card — essential
  • Proven experience operating a roller on civils or groundworks projects
  • Understanding of compaction requirements and layer depths
  • Strong awareness of site safety and health requirements

Desirable

  • Experience on large residential or infrastructure schemes
  • Additional plant tickets
  • Plate compactor or wacker plate experience
